The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour was the prestigious rite of passafe undertaken bu young men and women of 17th and 18th centuries at the conclusion of their university education to visit and study the legacies of classical antiquity.
The SDC is pleased to offer a faculty-led study tour of two founding cities of the Western Heritage of architecture and design. You'll visit world renowned monuments and museums of Ancient Greece and Rome, and learn from contemporary designers and preservationists whose careers involve the protection of cultural legacies.
